The brand

Claude Chamot opened his workshop in a Normandy seaside village in 1927, and the company he founded still makes wellington boots the way he did, each pair handmade from start to finish by a single master bootmaker, a training that takes upwards of nine months.

The details underneath carry the same seriousness, a proprietary rubber compound, every boot tested in a water bath before it leaves, a sole developed with Michelin, and a current partnership with the National Trust. The UK store runs on Shopify, with boots from around £100 to over £400, worn for farming, fieldsports, sailing and gardening.
