E-commerce Masterclasses

We run masterclasses in your office that get your team’s heads around the fundamentals: SEO, GEO, agentic shopping, and how they fit together. They run for the C-suite, for marketing teams, and for e-commerce teams, each one built from your own store and your own market.

The teaching runs on the same method as Shopify SEO and Shopify Agentic Commerce: the fundamentals of winning and keeping customers, worked since 2008, taught so your team ends up owning them.

The face-to-face time is what clients love: a proper session in the room, working through everything digital together. And the interest never stays with the marketing and e-commerce teams, people join from right across the business, and the whole business is better for it.

E-commerce Masterclasses

The masterclasses

We come to the table with an outsider’s perspective, which is exactly how new customers, crawlers, and agents see your brand too.

The most impact comes in the first 90 days of working together: a masterclass early, before we become absorbed in your brand.

Why Naughton & Bird

Two decades of e-commerce discipline

We are a Shopify Plus Partner consultancy, working the fundamentals of winning and keeping customers since 2008. The discipline search engines and agents now reward, authoritative, structured, truthful commerce, is the discipline we have always practised.

From mail order to Google to agents, the fundamentals have not changed: acquire quality customers at the best possible price, and keep them. We work with established brands whose reputations are already earned, across the UK, Hong Kong, Dubai, and Australia, and we teach your team as we go, so the capability stays in-house.

The ownership model

Teams with curious people always do better

The masterclasses are built to empower your team: to inspire and stimulate curiosity, and to teach the fundamentals of how to operate, so the knowledge lands with the people who use it every day.

A masterclass on its own can be an amazing day, and it defeats its own object if none of the learnings make it into the business-as-usual routines. So the teaching is built to be lived with: playbooks, habits, and disciplines a team can run. The ongoing relationships are usually stronger too, because the retained work that follows a masterclass runs on a shared understanding.

How a masterclass runs

The format is deliberately simple, and what makes it work is the immersion before it and the method underneath it.

01

Built from your market

The agenda comes from immersion first: your store, your numbers, and your competition, the topical ground they fight for and the ground they leave open. Every example the team works through is one they recognise.

02

A day in your office

We teach in-house with the team in the room, bringing things to light that a normal day in the office would never surface: how the models work, how search engines value quality, and how agents read a store.

03

What your team keeps

Playbooks your team can follow, walkthrough recordings to refer back to, and a planning session on what comes next before we leave the building.

E-commerce masterclass FAQs

Established e-commerce brands, at three levels of the business: the C-suite, marketing teams, and e-commerce teams. Each masterclass is pitched to its room. A leadership session answers different questions from a working session in the store admin, and we scope which is which with you before anything is booked.

In your office, in person, with the team in the room. The discussion, the questions, and the time spent on your own store are where the value sits, so we teach where your team works.

Whatever your team most needs to own, scoped with you in advance. For e-commerce teams that is usually the store disciplines: architecture, structured data, catalogue data, and email. For marketing teams, how discovery works now and how to plan for it. For the C-suite, the commercial picture: AI search, agentic commerce, and the channel economics underneath them.

Yes. Every project trains the team as the work happens, and most close with a review and an in-house masterclass: the full capability handover, plus a plan for what the team takes on next.

Keeping ahead. Everything in Shopify and e-commerce is moving quickly, and staying on top of it is a job in itself, so we stay on the pulse and your team does not have to. Most clients keep us in an advisory role after the masterclass, steering as things change, even where we are not retained in any other capacity.
